When you have a website it’s important to make sure the page loads quickly and looks good. One of the easiest ways to make a website load slowly is to upload huge photos to your webpage. Another way to make your website look terrible is to stretch small images to be bigger than they actually are. The industry standard software is of course Photoshop but that comes with a price tag and takes a while to get used to using it, which is why Pixlr is such a useful tool.
I’ve made a video tutorial showing how you can find out the size of your photograph and then resize images using Pixlr. and optimise (make the file size smaller) for your website.
